โ† Back to the vault

The code

๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•‘๐Ÿ•’๐Ÿ•“๐Ÿ•”

The order was around the clock. Every vault code is a sequence with exactly one defensible order โ€” once you see the idea, the arrangement follows, and that is the moment the puzzle is designed around.

The keyboard players saw

๐Ÿ•’โฐ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ•ง๐Ÿ•”๐Ÿ•“๐Ÿ•‘โŒ›

8 symbols on the board, five in the code, 3 decoys: โฐ ๐Ÿ•ง โŒ›. An eight-key board keeps the blind-solve space at 6,720 arrangements. Days ordered by an open-ended property โ€” size, speed โ€” stay narrow like this on purpose, because a sixth or seventh candidate would produce a second equally valid answer.

Par and difficulty

Par for this vault was 3 and it was rated easy, leaving 3 spare attempts against the six you get. That is a forgiving number: the feedback on this board collapses the candidates quickly, so a methodical player gets there without needing the idea at all. Beating par means you found the order rather than deduced it.

The treasure inside
